Delete your account

This page explains how to permanently delete your Storyowl account (com.kwiktwik.curios) and associated personal data.

What happens when you delete your account

Deleting your account is permanent. After we process your request, the following will be irreversibly removed where technically possible:

• Your profile and personal information (name, email, phone)
• Stories, books, and content linked to your account
• Photos you uploaded for personalization
• Saved preferences and in-app history
• Session and login credentials for Storyowl

We may retain limited records required for legal, tax, fraud prevention, or completed order/fulfillment obligations (for example invoice records) for as long as the law requires.

Orders & payments

Account deletion does not automatically refund past purchases. Physical book orders already in production or shipping may still be fulfilled. For payment or order issues, email hello@storyowl.app before or together with your deletion request.

If you have an active subscription or recurring payment through Google Play or another store, cancel it in that store's subscription settings to avoid future charges. Deleting the Storyowl account alone may not cancel a store-managed subscription.

How to delete your account

Option 1 — Email request (recommended for Play Store)

Send an email from the address or phone number linked to your account to hello@storyowl.app with the subject line:

Account Deletion Request — Storyowl (com.kwiktwik.curios)

Please include:

• The email or phone number used to sign in
• Your name (if any)
• Optional: reason for leaving (helps us improve)

We will verify your identity and process the request promptly, typically within 7–14 business days. You may receive a confirmation once deletion is complete.

Option 2 — Signed-in account page

If you are signed in on the website or app, open Account and contact support from there, or email us as above so we can match your session user.

In-app path (for store reviewers)

1. Open the Storyowl app
2. Sign in (or use the published test account if reviewing the app)
3. Visit this page in the browser: https://storyowl.app/delete-account
4. Follow the email instructions to request permanent deletion
